My last adventure outside Romania this year... standing outside the airport after 4 days near these people... how could I feel otherwise than extremly happy for such an amazing experience and also sad because I knew I might never be this lucky again. That was the first time I thought seriously about leaving Romania, but it passed in a few days. I can travel from here everywhere in Europe in a few hours. It takes me more to get to Targu Mures, a city from Romania, than to Birmingham... and I love my country to much anyway! Maybe I'll just be lucky again! :)
Satish is Shalini's brother (read the story and view the pictures here) and when he and Paula wrote me about their wedding, my heart skipped a beat every time I've read an email from them. Two indian weddings in one year... what a dream! :) And if at the first one I was there just for the wedding day, this time I had the chance to be with them for 4 days and got to see and shoot all the traditions before and after the wedding. Needless to say, the whole experience was incredible, but what struck me more then anything (again, I could say) was how they welcomed me among them, how warm and friendly every single one of their friends and family were and that made my job so much easier and a joy beyond words to capture all the little stories of Paula and Satish beautiful wedding. You will not see in this blog post a photo shoot with them because they didn't have one (unfortunatelly we didin't have the time for this), it is all photojournalism and this playground suits me best, I belive.
Thank you so much, Paula and Satish, for trusting me, an obscure romanian wedding photographer, to capture your amazing story. Thank you, Matei and Phanita, the day I met you was one of the luckiest days of my life and a blessing. I missed you here. :)

PS: I can't close this post without mentioning that I was not alone at this wedding. Victor Manea, a good friend and my former "apprentice" (I know it sounds too precious, but I've tried to teach him all I know, really) who did an amazing job. In fact, he did such a great job that 9 out of the 61 pictures you'll see and 20% of the pictures in the slideshow at the end of this post are shot by him (all the editing is done by me, however, but it was a joy to work on his photos). I know that these must be the best pictures he ever took and I am proud he is part of my team for future weddings outside Romania. Thank you, Victor, you made me envious for the first time since you've started your adventure in wedding photography with many of your pictures! :))
