Of course I am happy... and of course that my success started somewhere. First of all it's God's will for guiding me and giving me tons of luck. Second, but almost as important as God (I know there is no such thing, but still...), one year ago I've been to the Fearless Conference in Amsterdam and met some of the people that inspired me all these years: Anna Kuperberg, Ben and Erin Chrisman, Huy Nguyen, Sergio and Kelly, Citlalli Rico, Daniel Aguilar, Dave and Quin Cheung, Frank Boutonnet. I can't tell you how amazing it was, but that one thing that truly changed the way I shoot/think/edit was meeting Anna Kuperberg. Thank you, Anna! I will never forget what you said to me and how much you helped me overcome so many fears I had back then. And third, but not least, my family who carries the weight of a much too passionate man about photography. I know it's not easy! :)
I don't know if I can keep up with all these awards. I don't even know if I want this so much now (of course I do!). I've had my share of excitement. Especially Fearless Photographers is a big thing for me and it pushes me to think and act different every time I have a camera in my hand. And also to stay true to myself. These are the biggest achievements I can get from Fearless Photographers and it should be enough. But I will do my best.
I'll make this a yearly bragging blog post starting with 2015! Even if I win zero awards from now on in the next 6 months (it's very possible), I'll write about this here. :) Because it's not bragging, it's just saying thank you to all the people that make me happy and trust me.
